    Located in the extreme east of Europe, Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007 at the same time as its Romanian neighbor. With its current 7 million inhabitants, Bulgaria has 2 million fewer inhabitants than when the communist regime fell in early 90s. The country is therefore at the heart of a major demographic crisis and is struggling to develop its economy.   • Croatia

    Second country from Ex-Yugoslavia to join the European Union in 2013, Croatia is currently the youngest member of the Union. After its independence from Yugoslavia in 1991, the country became rapidly a major touristical destination and developed its economy. Mid-2019, Croatia filed for joining the Eurozone in view of a future integration in 2023. The country has more than 4 million inhabitants and its RFT sector improves smoothly, staying concentrated on the regional market. Croatia is part of the European program of CNR.   • Spain

    Situated in the South of the European Union, Spain has nearly 47 million inhabitants. The country joined the European Union in 1986 and the Eurozone in 1999. Spain is also positioned as a manufactoring and agricultural production centre favorable to the RFT sector, despite its relatively off-center position. Spain is part of the European program of CNR.     Situated in the North of Europe, Estonia obtained independence in 1991 after 50 years of Russian occupation, it became a member of the European Union in 2004 and of the Eurozone in 2011. With its 1.3 million inhabitants, it is the smallest among the Baltic States. Its cultural and linguistic differences distinguish Estonia from its Latvian and Lithuanian neighbors to the advantage of its Finnish "brothers".
