Definition
Since 2002, the CNR has been conducting studies on road freight transport in European Union countries. A total of around twenty countries are currently being studied, providing an overview of European road freight transport. The CNR's work is based in particular on current regulations and field surveys conducted among professional federations, institutions, companies and international lorry drivers. The CNR also carries out various comparisons: European road freight transport rankings, social comparisons and tax comparisons. All these documents are available in this section. They are often accompanied by summaries and translations into English. The prices of diesel fuel in Europe and the excise duties levied on it are also presented. Comparative studies on partial refunds of excise duties on commercial diesel are also available. Key indicators are thus made available to you to enable you to compare countries, obtain information on the specific characteristics of each flag and much more.
